As most of you probably do not know, my name is Curtis Smith. Up until recently I have known about God and all
the different teachings and things associated with Him, but have not really put it all into place. I guess it took a
trip to Illinois to see my best friend and meeting Smooth Grandmama, aka, Becky Rodgers who has been a Spiritual Mentor to
me, to finally grasp it. Even after all that, I guess that I'm much thicker than I've always thought because I still
didn't quite grasp it all. This past year I taught Religious Education at my home church, St. Vincent DePaul in Fort
Wayne. Even after that I have not learned how much more fortunate that I am, and how much God has played in my life.
This summer I am a YMCA Camp Counselor for the summer day camp, and one of my kids' parents, both of them, have been placed
in jail... alas, I have begun to see the major role that God has played in whom I am associated with, namely my blood brother
without actually doing that blood ceremony thingy, and best friend, Zach Wolf who has been there through my recent dark
stage and gotten me through it. Thank you for never losing patience with me and being there for me when I truly need
your help. I love you like a brother and will always be here for you when you need me! There are far too
many people for me to beable to talk about each of you individually, so I just want to give a general thank you to those of
you whom are always around to lighten my day. Granny, I got a special thank you for you. Twice, possibly three
times, you have lead me back into the Light of Christ and been there to help me many times with other problems that I
have faced. You have become a Mentor to me and I now consider you to be very much part of my family. Thank you
for everything that you have done for me!
